CEMFORT Architectural & Structural

Monolitic fiber-cement boards consisting of Portland cement, carbon fibers, silica, water and admixtures. Under intense pressure, durable, flat sheets are formed. These sheets, of natural light grey colour, are autoclaved to produce high early strength, stability and uniformity, limestone appearance.
 

Wall and Ceiling
TopB’ord inc a leading manufacturer of specialty products for concrete construction and restoration, offers a line of fiber cement flat boards for general construction purposes. CEMFORT flat boards are lightweight, impact resistant, clean and easy to use.

  
Floor
CEMFORT boards do not align with the plywood sub-floor. Refer to figure 1. When installing CEMFORT boards make sure there is a gap of at least 1/8’’ (3mm) along all four edges of each board and at all joints between floor and walls.		  
Foundation
The CEMFORT board can be used to finish virtually any exterior perimeter insulation system; particularly with extruded polystyrene insulation. This system is designed for 4’ (1,22m) spans. The width of the board is determined by adding 12’’ (30 cm) (as required by N.B.C.) to the exposed height of the basement wall.		  
Balcony
The CEMFORT board is now available as a balcony floor For general use in residential, commercial and institutional applications. It resists sun, rain, freezing temperatures and will not rot. Therefore, the sheets can be let exposed with the joints between them filled with caulking. The CEMFORT board is also easy to resurface with the FINEXPERT WATERPROOFING POLYMER/CEMENT RESURFACER and the REINFORCING FABRIC HD (full surface) In order to obtain a uniform anti-slippery surface. In addition, this finish results in an increased resistance to water infiltration (waterproofing), freeze/thaw and .Leave a 1/8’’ (3 mm) between boards and fill joints with caulking.
